About the speaker/s:

Dr Pablo de Felipe is a scientist, theologian and lecturer specialising in the relationship between science and Christian faith. He is Professor of Science and Faith at the SEUT Faculty of Theology in Madrid and Coordinator of its Centre for Science and Faith.

Originally trained in chemistry and molecular biology, Pablo holds a PhD from the Autonomous University of Madrid and has worked in biomedical research, including virology, biotechnology and gene therapy. He spent seven years as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of St Andrews before working as a biotechnology medicines specialist with the Spanish Medicines Agency.

His academic work explores the relationship between Christianity and science, with particular interests in evolution, biblical interpretation, the history of science and faith, and the life and work of Georges Lemaître. He has written and spoken extensively on these subjects and is associated with the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion at the University of Cambridge.

Bringing together a background in both scientific research and theology, Pablo helps churches, students and wider audiences engage thoughtfully with some of the biggest questions surrounding science, creation and Christian belief.
