Our interdenominational
growing community…
Formation at Belfast School of Theology
At Belfast School of Theology, we embrace diverse learning methods.
Beyond exceptional academic instruction, students benefit from informal conversations, cross-cultural interactions, and deep discussions about responding to the challenges of a rapidly changing, increasingly secular world. These experiences contribute significantly to personal growth and spiritual development.
Leadership
Leadership experience is vital for ministry development.
Students at Belfast School of Theology engage in various leadership activities, including educational decision-making, managing music, drama, or IT, hosting seminars, and leading evangelism teams. Our peer-elected Student Committee organizes numerous events, such as an off-campus residential experience at the start of each year, Praise, Worship, and Prayer evenings, Sports Days, a Christmas Party, International Lunch, the annual College Formal, and a ‘Belfast’s Got Talent’ show!
Faith
Weekly worship in the College chapel is a cornerstone of our faith practice.
Students actively participate in worship through music, art, poetry, drama, and media. Faculty members and guest speakers lead weekly reflections on God’s Word. Numerous prayer opportunities are available, including 24/7 prayer times throughout the year. Our campus features a beautiful woodland Prayer Walk and a dedicated Prayer Room for traditional and creative expressions of praise, hopes, requests, and devotion.
Community Life
Creating a vibrant community is a collective effort at Belfast School of Theology.
We foster a Christ-centered community where every student and staff member plays a role. Each individual is part of a ‘Fellowship Group’ that meets weekly to build relationships, share experiences, and offer mutual support. Fellowship extends beyond formal meetings, permeating classroom interactions, canteen conversations, and campus life, forming the foundation of a healthy learning environment.
Support
Support and care are integral to our College ethos.
While our community supports one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, additional support is available through staff Fellowship Group Leaders or the College Pastoral Care Team. Students can visit the Pastoral Office for prayer and a listening ear or arrange regular pastoral care sessions with a team member.

Access to Learning
At Belfast School of Theology, we are committed to working collaboratively with our students to understand your needs and to provide a supportive learning and community environment for all students with disabilities or specific learning needs.
The term ‘disabilities’ is broadly defined and includes mobility and/or sensory impairments, medical conditions, mental health conditions and intellectual disability, autism (ASD) and specific learning difficulties (such as dyslexia and dyspraxia). Your first point of contact is normally with the School’s Disability Support Officer (DSO) whose role is to provide you with relevant information and guidance related to accessing additional support – and to encourage you to get everything in place in order to maximise support.
Â
Service in Action
Christian ministry and leadership are rooted in humility and service.
Inspired by Jesus’s teachings, students participate in simple weekly tasks to support the smooth operation of the College, emphasizing the importance of faithful service in preparation for their future missions.
