We will be exploring:

The Gifts of the Spirit

Unfortunately, the gifts of the Spirit have become a controversial subject in the church. Some believe they died out with the original Apostles, others believe they are still for today, and then there are those who claim these gifts but abuse them and hurt people in the process.
 
In this course, we will examine some of these issues and how scripture teaches that these gifts will be displayed in the church until Christ’s return. Indeed, they are essential to completing the Great Commission.
 
We will mainly examine 1 Corinthians 12-14 and some other relevant scriptures also.

 

About the speaker/s:

Rev David Legge

David Legge is a Bible teacher, author and leader, fuelled by a passion for the world to awaken to the presence of God.  Through his leadership in the ministry Dwellings, he is also helping other people cultivate their own communities and house churches reminiscent of the early church.

Through decades of pastoral and teaching ministry, David has witnessed the Spirit’s power setting people free, and he longs to empower ordinary people to embrace their identity and begin to live in the fullness and power of the Spirit.  

Since the year 2000 David’s teaching has been shared globally through Preachtheword.com.  He is the author of Breaking Through Barriers to Blessing. He studied theology at Queen’s University Belfast and the Irish Baptist College. He lives in Portadown, Northern Ireland, with his wife, Barbara and their two adult children, Lydia and Noah. David also spends months each year based out of Little Rock, AR, USA with the Dwellings team.
